The year 2024 brings the 42nd edition of the iconic race on Vavřinec Stream, which will take place on October 12 and 13. This traditional boating race is one of the biggest events of its kind in the Czech Republic and attracts participants and spectators from all over the country and abroad. The organizers are expecting more than 600 boats at the start to embark on an adventurous journey down the natural bed of Vavřinec Stream.
The race offers exciting moments for competitors and spectators. The route leads through scenic countryside, but is also technically challenging – competitors must master fast currents, shallow sections and other whitewater challenges. Vavřinec Stream is not only about speed, but also about the art of controlling a boat in changing conditions. The atmosphere on the banks is always lively and friendly, which contributes to an unforgettable experience for all.
Davídkov Mill is open to the public again from 16:00 on Friday to 16:00 on Sunday. It is an ideal opportunity for visitors to come and warm up during the weekend and enjoy traditional pig feasts and other specialties from the mill’s kitchen.
Saturday will provide another unforgettable experience. Starting at 17:00 there will be a concert by the Děda Mládek Illegal Band, right here in Davídkov Mill. This concert is free for all visitors and promises great entertainment to enliven the evening atmosphere on the race day.
